Other than the normal bi-weekly grocery shopping misadventure to my knowledge there are no other excursions, chores, or other happenings planned. It must be the first weekend in a year that has happened. Today we are getting a new range top installed to replace our worn out 20+ year old one. Of course Monday starts football practice for my son’s team. Monday through Friday until Labor Day. I am still not sure if I will be coaching this year. I have more trees to make and plant around the Cement Distributor. I also have clump foliage, foliage, and fine-leaf foliage to plant. I would like to begin laying road bed for the Hillside and Grain Elevator Extension since I have the track configured. I also need to work on the yard configuration for the Power Plant. I still have a bunch of coal loads to make and a CNJ caboose to weather.
I am driving to San Antonio with 32 feet of NTRAK modules to set up at the Crossroads Mall train show.
I don't know yet... family reunion on Saturday. Work on sunday...... I would like to get some stuff doen on the layout.....i guess we'll see on monday.
I'm finishing those... ...the yellow color is already on, the handrails are painted socony red, some green color and some decals are missing otherwise they are ready. ...any clue what road name ?
No model RR activity for a while- I'm leaving Gallup & heading back to Tejas for a while, then off to Georgia. Since I'm flying, my modeling tools will have to be shipped via ground (since 9/11, airlines have gotten antsy about sharp objects of any kind......#$#@!%$ )
I plan to continue working on the addition to the JJJ&E. I also will install decoders in some steam loco's. Stay cool and run steam.......
Today is my wife Tina's birthday so we originally took the day off to go to Galesburg and watch trains, but it is too hot and we are tired. Instead we will get into her presents, have a cook out and work on our T-Trak and B&M layout. We have friends comming over Saturday and will spend most of the day getting things picked up so we can run three rail O. Sunday, I hope to finish the small yard on the Conn. Valley B&M layout.
Russell, this is what I hope to see this weekend, along with laying down track on my layout. Hope to see you there, how might I identify you?
Wolfgang...that is a great looking water tower. I have always liked the quality of Cambell models. John
Nice water tower Wolfie. As for myself, I am thinking of adding some power to my rails and running trains in circles for a while.
I think I'm promised to other tasks this weekend. First, I will help a friend net his small vineyard, to protect his grapes from the birds. Then I will supervise the unloading of our rented storage shed, disposing of refrigerators and other heavy stuff that the 4 kids left behind and have no inclination to pick back up. With a movie on Satruday and a social engagement on Sunday, I think the railroad will be neglected. Although I have a few hours tonight to work on the N scale freighter Beavercove. Lots of challenges there, as I'm dealing with complex curves, and want to build it right.
Already weekend here, have spent the morning cleaning all the track on the layout. Tomorrow am hoping to add some more details to the HO SD40-2 I'm working on.
I was about to ask Dingo when CGW got merged and by what line as I did not recall them having such modern equipment. I gotta say I always had a weak spot for CGW diesel paint schemes.
I think (I hope!) to finally get the kitbashed/scratch-built (outside kit bashed, inside scratch) underground parking entrance/office completed. I also have a few figures to add and some dirt and junk to add to the narrow strip between the track and this building.
A few coupler conversions and hopefully complete paint on 3 BN B30-7AB's and a pair of BN SD7's. May even begin the numbering of same.
