No, not much. Just a dry climate here so not much rust on the railhead. Just east of here is some potato warehouses are still serviced by the CBWR occasionally.
Continuing east, is the Warden depot. I'ts been moved a block or so south of the actual former mainline.
A searchlight signal at east Ralston. This was taken about a 1/4 mile from a gate across the RoW that expressly forbids ANY trespassing!! Didn't want to tempt fate..... From here to Malden, the roadbed is inaccessible.
Great catch. That was a sweet heart mid-sized work horse in its day 60-70 years ago. It, like all IH tractor diesels of the day, had an interesting starting system. It first was started on gasoline. Then after about a minute of warm-up, the operator simultaneously operated two levers, one lifting with the right hand to open the diesel throttle, and the other pushing with the left hand to transition from the gas valve train to the diesel valve train.
