Sadly, the steering wheel will not be printable in Z or N scale, only on TT & HO. Here are some shots of the first printing of the chassis in Z and TT:
Forget the steering wheel, especially in Z. I dunna no why I would spend time on the under carriage. I don't place them on a glass table and lay under it or, a mirror box or, even want to know. Its the body and such. Those tankers will look great in my tank farm, distribution and down the road !
Hi there, Fantastic job! Well done Do you have plans for making cars like Cadillac, Mercury, Pontiac, Chevy, Lincoln etc (from the 50-60's)? Charlie
That's funny Eric! Not having a steering wheel on a Z scale auto never stopped me from buying it. Keep up the great work! John
The engine and under carriage are there for the larger scales. Some of the models are available with hood open so you see the engine. Also if you want to make a accident scene where the truck is flipped on it's side or a new truck at the dealership with no bed on it. Since all the detail is already in the 3D model it is no extra work to leave it there when I do the chassis for Z.
JMC Scale Models makes cars from that era, you can find them on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/JMC-Scale-Models-341193572911400/ There is also Alvaro who was making cars, does anyone know if he is still in business?
Alvaro has a FB page with his amazing cars, too: https://www.facebook.com/My-Z-scale-models-1648628058694887/ Joao
