Lot Of 3 N Scale 4-6-4 Con-Cor 4-6-2 Atlas Hudson Steam Locomotive Engines , I See a CC 4-6-4 Hudson a ATLAS /RIVAROSSI 4-6-2 Hudson > Since when did a Pacific -4-6-2 become a Hudson? ATLAS/ RIVAROSSI 0-8-0 We all See It Tom
In regards to the SP overnights, the seller seems to be after the collector segment. A number of his items are sealed in their original boxes. Collectors pay crazy prices just to “fill out” a series. If it comes out of the box the value drops dramatically.
Well , Here's another one Life-Like, Mehano, Arnold 6 locomotives LOT, running/non running. READ N scale | eBay Some of the handrails appear to be missing. Tom
Unless the seller is not being forthright about the item location, it's probably driving distance to UMTRR HQ. I wonder if I know this person... but not willing to buy anything to find out.
I can beat that... same seller, different scale: https://www.ebay.com/itm/294010080013 Was a time when one could not give these away... might still be that time, actually.
Know this is not ebay .. it might be worth the mention here. Note method of payment. Tom Lot2- Various Freight > $1,234 Various freight- items range from $10-$40. Please message for interested items Paypal only
Wait! The math doesn't work out! He said most items are $10-$40. I count 11 items so even at the upper $40 limit, that's only $440. Yet the lot is $1,234??
A very cool looking swap meet box. Well, not really. Better than a junk box, but should be part of a bargain bin....
Tom, was that a post on a Facebook group? $1,234 seems to be a default on some Facebook selling groups where items are individually priced. $9,999 is also something I see from time to time. I find it fascinating that selling ads on Facebook specifically exclude Facebook payments!
All, fyi here Life-Like, Mehano, Arnold 6 locomotives LOT, running/non running. READ N scale | eBay this has been sold. I did not see an actual starting $. The Winning Bid $100.00 at 8 Bids, nowhere did I see a starting $ ! I Feel for the person who purchased these. Tom
Maybe worse than the readers digest stuff out there. It is listed as N but I doubt if one could ever get a mechanism under them. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2834197744...uD7nxBHV93D7TQ%3D%3D|ampid:PL_CLK|clp:2563228
If you look at it on your computer you used to be able to see the bid increments. With Al’s on mobile devices, that info is not readily available. Sometimes these things are driven by one crazy max bid that was way over what anyone would bid, but someone else saw something in the junk he had to have. Usually one in a hundred, but they tend to stick out, particularly when you look at sold items.
Starting bid was $59, increments were $65, $65.01, $67, $75.01, $85, $88, $99 and then the winning $100. There were three bidders, two of which I would say were "highly motivated."
Those are meant as static display locomotives. Spookshow has a thing here: http://spookshow.net/loco/delprado.html I picked up one of the Krauss Maffei locomotives a while back, with the intent of converting it into an actual locomotive. The catch is that there was a giant weight glued into the middle that I had to very gradually grind away. I haven't made any progress on it in years, mostly because I can't find a good mechanism. The Kato SD40-2 is not the best fit. The PA is the right length, but the shell is too think. Interestingly, I think the best fit I found is the old Minitrix U30CG. Though I would probably at least try a newer Atlas or Kato mech, or maybe a C628/C630 first.
