    Anyone using these on their railroad? I ordered a few to tinker with and was wondering if anyone else has done the same.

    I wonder if DCC++EX could be ported to it...

    Yes, I have several. I'm only using them for automation and they work really well in that application. I started with the Arduino IDE where the benefits I saw were the Arduino libraries I needed were compatible and compiled code executed faster than micropython. But python is easily fast enough for my needs and so much easier to use I've migrated to python using Thonny for everything. Using PWM is dead easy so driving a servo or a stepper driver in step/direction mode works really well. Highly recommended.
