On a dreary Ohio winter day, eastbound NS 2637 hauls a string of intermodals past the Sebring station, hoping to make the east coast before the New Year (Sunday, December 31st, 2023).[IMG]

From 08/30/1978, the MILW's Tower A-20 at Techny, IL. The freight line up from the MILW's big yard at Bensenville, IL joined the mainline between Chicago, Milwaukee and points west here. Tower is long gone.

That's a nice little nook in the countryside.:) A great place to model since it's narrow and has some interesting trackwork.

A freight engine helping out Amtrak? Unthinkable!:ROFLMAO:

A sharp, bright photo that looks like early morning sunlight. Best time to be outside in the fresh air, railfanning!

That industrial building (and the rest of the scene!) is just begging to be modeled. I can make out a faded "FLEETWOOD" painted on the bricks. There may be a line of smaller text above it, but enhance as I could, it's just too far gone or it's my brain trying to see patterns.

That must have been a great Alco concert! :)

That's a really nice shot, Hinton, WV I think. I took this photo of the railroad structure to the right in the picture. I thought its ramshackle appearance was interesting, perhaps once a yard office.

That's the old Fleetwood factory in Fleetwood PA, between Reading and Allentown.
From the top, the lettering is the year '1909', then 'Auto Bodies', then 'Fleetwood'.

On one of her visits to Houston, the 3985 is parked a few blocks east of the Astrodome around 20 years ago.

    Cool!

I read the page in the link and came across a familiar name: Fisher. My Dad had a car once, that had a plaque riveted in the driver door sill that read "Body by Fisher". IIRC it was the 1968 Bel Air.

Nice memories of the long drives, me in the back seat of the Bel Air.:)
