I have been helping members with support issues and in the last few days, at least a couple of users have told me that they are not familiar with the Quick Links feature. I've also had a couple of complaints about site navigation. See the attached image. The Quick Links menu takes you to a variety of places on this site. They include 24 Hours of TrainBoard, 24 Hours of RailImages, 24 Hours of TrainStore, to the main pages of those features, and other places as well, such as your profile and private message area. I also hear from people at least once or twice per week that have no idea how to edit their profile, change their e-mail address, signature, etc. A link is provided on the Quick Links menu to these places. This menu is very helpful if you are at the top of a page. The circular navigation at the bottom is designed to take you to many of these same places so you do not have to scroll to navigate the site. Charlie
I always use the new posts and 24 hours of trainboard at the bottom of the page and now I'm using the classifieds icon as well
I had never even looked at, or noticed, the quick links button. I have been using the icons at the bottom of the page for new posts and 24 hours. There are so many options and features here, it's easy to not use some. Ed
Yep, there are a few ways to navigate around. If ya ask me, and I know you didn't , this makes it more friendly. Everyone can find and choose their own way to navigate the site. I do use the 'quick links' for the 24 hrs of TB as well.
I alwasy check "Subscribed Threads" to see if anyone responded and a asked a question about anything I posted. It keep track of every thread that I have ever posted on.
