I'd say an Oscar! Tom has one of the best layouts I have ever seen! Thanks for posting the link Charlie!!!
Wow Charlie, Thanks! I didnt even see this thread till just now. The guy that filmed this is a real pro. Like he has actually had his films on TV. Berkley educated in films. So that was big help, he got some of the minor details wrong but all in all just a great job. I was pleased to see the MRR thru someone else's lens. And really shows I am not a very good film maker or photographer LOL, no matter how much I spend on a camera, he did use some high-end stuff for the filming. Anyways, Thanks for doing this Charlie, and thanks to everyone, for all the nice comments. Thinking of working on a Local and switcher video, but I need a better film editing program (used Move Maker so far). Any suggestions for a film editing program would be much appreciated.
Tom great layout! You should be proud of it!!! Quantity and Quality at the same time. Charlie thank you for posting the link with the video. Bookmarked it!
Being a Rio Grande fan, what's not to like, although I love caboose era Rio Grande the best. One thing I could do without is that guy yakking in the beginning of the video's. It's like everyone wants to be a celebrity these days. Someone should give a "how to make a Youtube class and to keep the into to a very short 10 seconds. After that patience is gone. Thankfully we can all skip ahead.
Hey guys, Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement. I want you all to know how much that means to me. Yea, the guy and Gal that filmed the video may have been a little exited, but they had no mal-intent, and I have shown this outfit more in the last week than in the last 5 years because of the video. But I can see, this becoming an issue as now I am getting folks from Brazil showing up by virtue of the local hobby shop giving directions... But really I am OK with it as they do seem to enjoy with me whatever the language. Please carry on my friends. Just waiting on Charlie to stop by now...
Tom, great job and you know I love the Rio Grande and SP both. Being able to run nice long unit trains is a big plus! I'm sure videographer didn't have any ill intent; he's just like half the population, and wants to be a star on youtube. Me? I'd just want to watch the cool trains and skip past the talking heads! =P FF FTW! Keep up the good work!
