OO and HO track compatibility?

Can, for example, an OO gauge turnout be connected successfully to HO track of the same brand?

 

well, most
most OO track is not 1/76 but 1/87, same as HO , some purpose made OO track has the ties with a wider spacing ...
the rest [a small percentage] is actually 1/76 spacing, but not commonly seen , it should be marked on your pieces
