BNSF FAN My exact experience...more then 10 years ago ! I quit the Bay and Paypal after that. When I quit Paypal they still had $1.78 of mine on my account. Wonder if its still there....hmmmmm...LOL
You should write them and ask for your money back. Oh, don't forget to add the compounding interest! It might be $10 by now!
All, I know that this one is not ebay , however I think it needs a mention here. http://www.nscalesupply.com/pon/PreownedDetail.aspx?id=85432 Have to love the Manufacturer and the $ Part Number: QWX0743 Price: $300.00 ! Aren't these made by BACHMANN for MT'S Civil War Era Set? Tom
Well, those locos listed for $120 each, and I think they were DC, so I guess a pair of decoders has been installed. So, maybe somebody paid something like $300 to get those 2 locomotives to their current "pre-owned" condition. If true, then that solid gold spike is FREE!
I'll agree with you on the Locomotives. However as for the gold spike... I bet it is GOLD PLATED !! Lol. Tom
All, And there's this one. N Scale Lima Italy Open Ore Cars CP Burlington Pennsylvania https://www.ebay.com/itm/274169367442?ul_noapp=true apparently this person cannot distinguish a Gondola car from a Ore car , the $ isn't terrible. Tom
A case in point of why eBay can be such a bore is a "Vtg Minitrix 2916 Shell Only", a boiler shell and incomplete, ruined tender with details broken off that has been listed unsold at the same $27.59 price for three months and because it's "SPONSORED" (whatever that is), it continually shows up multiple times in a single search for body shells. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vtg-Minitr...=264488995925ca07623f089c4833a2566a50030bfeb1
BTW what exactly is "sponsored"? Does a seller pay eBay to put his listing near the top of a search, no matter whether the searcher has specified "Best Match", "Newly Listed", "Lowest Price" or whatever for the order of the search results? If so, then I think eBay is really angling for buyers to pay them to not put those "sponsored" items in their search results, because they are really annoying. Maybe the best alternative is to start a trend of blocking sellers who make their listings "sponsored", so that it becomes a disadvantage to sellers.
All, And there's this one ! > Vintage N Scale Lot Locomotives For Parts | eBay and the shipping is $14.95... he's NUTS! I'd gladly give this person $ 4.00 Even just for the LIFELIKE and TRAIN SHOW the REST! And here's another ! https://www.ebay.com/itm/N-scale-Train-locomotive-Engine-lot/174108010730?_trkparms=aid%3D555021%26algo%3DPL.SIMRVI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20190711100440%26meid%3Dab1d31b782234183988d11e1cdb25d47%26pid%3D100752%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D3%26mehot%3Dpf%26sd%3D164014711208%26itm%3D174108010730%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100752.m1982 the TRACK Looks to be ho-scale !! Tom
What I don’t understand is people selling starter set-quality trains “for parts”. What parts are you selling? It is a one piece body shell with no details, old couplers nobody uses anymore, there are no parts to sell. Unless you want a badly molded brake wheel or a headlight bulb that might as well be an LED, there is nothing of value.
Thanks for the reminder about that feature. I will appreciate not having to click through the hundreds of Burt Industries items that I have no interest in ever purchasing.
I'm pretty sure I'm missing something. Right? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Micro-Trai...667017?hash=item593ba39a89:g:ej0AAOSwmxVcdbyw
Yes, they are Bachmann with MTL paint and couplers. I think a key data point here is that they've got DCC installed. I'm not very good with decoders but even if I were I might invent new swear words trying to do that conversion in those locos.
Looks like some weird eBay issue. The offer is by a german power seller, who usually has steep but not unreasonable prices. The car having his code-number is currently offered in Germany priced 26.99 € (US$ 30.21 at the moment). Offer date is the same on both eBay sites. And the canadian offer looks like a french translation of the german one including legal stuff with no relevance on international sales. Is eBay doing this automatically?
RS Laser Kits "First Bank" kit, on sale at $38 from the original price of $1000! You can't make this stuff up. Hahaha. Link
