I was wondering if anyone could help me.. I currently own the Kato Electric Turntable 20-283. However I have somehow broken the Controller Ribbon cable that connects it from the Turntable Controller to the turntable.. And I looked online at the parts catalog, and thought my solution to fix this was just to get the turntable extension cable.... but upon getting the extension cable, i found out it does not work cause of the connections.. Does anyone out there have any advice on how to fix this? It looks to me as to I need a 8 pin Female to 8 pin Female ribbon cable.. But the kato parts shop does not offer this piece? Any help you can give me to get it back running would be helpful. Nathan
Would something like this work? It's not a flat ribbon, and you would need to measure the spacing of the pin holes.... https://www.amazon.com/ZYAMY-Dupont...rds=8+pin+ribbon+cable&qid=1607474292&sr=8-21
You might want to contact Kato and see what they can do for you. If you're in the U.S., their office is near Chicago.
I've sent Kato an email today, and still awaiting their reply... I just didn't know if anyone else out there, might of had or has a Kato Turntable and had the same issue before.
Did you resolve this? You can order all the connectors, housings, crimps and even ready to use cable assemblies from DigiKey. Search for JST PA series connectors. This is the datasheet for the series so you can figure out what you need. https://www.jst-mfg.com/product/pdf/eng/ePA-F.pdf
