USPS is stuck in a downward circling spiral (like a helix). They raise the rates because less people are sending things via USPS and so even less people use UPSP...so they raise the rates. Sometimes, it's because of the poor service as well...
I wouldn't trust those little buggers to do anything on your layout. Sure they might lay some cork and track, but you can expect the quality of their work to decline as they go through all of your beer, wine and the contents of your liquor cabinet. They'll also eat you out of house and home especially any pizza and Pop-Tarts you might have, don't ask, I have no clue.
I here you on this one.. I did this with my Late Father as to when we were expanding the first S- Scale Layout, then in 1987 it was onto N-SCALE. Tom
Looks like the last one in sequence may be an RSD-15-S. The second "S" is for "Sunroof." Credit my wife with that remark.
In order to avoid such headaches as porch pirates, I keep a p o box. In four years the rent has now doubled. Those price hikes last month added 25% to my cost.
We have a small business po box we have had for 10 years. It was $16.00 for a year back then ! Now its $45.00 for 6 months !!!
...downward spiral. Maybe the reason they are having problems with out-of-control costs and decreasing market share is quality of service.
I have never had poor service from the USPS whether I am on the shipping or receiving end of a letter or package. I agree the costs are getting out of hand but so are those of UPS and FedEx.
They must be living in a pipe dream! Maybe on question for the price of the old engines but the Nscale items are way through the roof!
