Wow, this month has been wild. I apologize for the delays. My project still has not arrived, and I had a small family emergency to deal with. All said, let's go ahead, get the entries in by the Third......hopefully I can whip something up today.

Family first, do what you gotta do. It's all in good fun.

I feel like I should take at least one photo of my entry not sitting on my cutting mat. I don't have any model scenery though...

The weather does seem to be co-operative today...

I managed to get one decent photo of #4 on the tail of its final trip on a log train before tragedy struck...

The real story involves a small spider that crawled its way into frame and my clumsy ham-fistedness... You can probably guess how that turned out considering the whole shebang is sitting on a 2x4 railing above a wooden walkway...

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Black Bear's new steam donkey coupled with a split wooden bolster doomed #4, here she is lying in the weeds trackside while a train of the new disconnect logcars heads to the mill.

Okay, so all I have to really do is put another truck on her, as the sideframe split and lost one wheel set to the ages, the bolster is fine, screw held the rest of the truck very well considering the height of the plunge.

I posted a few construction photos in the other thread, but here is my UP express boxcar which has been converted to MOW service following the prototype # 907149. The prototype photo that I have is not extremely weathered, so I didn't want to get carried away! This is one of the first cars that I have ever done that that was painted by using rattle cans. I did break out the airbrush for a little weathering, though...

Still a prized possession. This old HO scale, Front Range GP7 SL-SF 577 still soldiers on, its on it second set of wheels, second set of motor brushes, weathered it up a bit more, beacon added to modernize it, has a Richmond Controls lighting kit for the headlights and beacon. Andre built it many years ago, I was fortunate enough to grab it, clunky hand rails and all, still one of my favorite locomotives.

Old Athearn boxcar that belonged to my dad. I decided to try to learn to weather things. I used artist oils with the oil dot weathering technique and then shot some tamiya buff acrylic thinned 20:1
