Looks a lot like the old one here in Neenah, WI. It's all stores now. And I believe one building is the O gauge club house.

Moose take break from building stuff in order to clean up train room - again ... And Moose needed something in the background so Moose no feel so lonely, like ... ... ... trains!

Moose start off testing BLI T-1. Yeah, it stutters so much, it couldn't get out of the yard. Yep, Moose no post photo. Too embarrassed to have this stuttering useless beast to post photos... Moose will commence stampeding self for not posting photographic proof...

Then Moose run the mighty No. 3500. Moose thought it would be nice to stretch'er legs around the layout. And guess what - she derailed at the same place she took a nose dive off the layout in 2014. And Moose had just previously removed a "stone wall" section to inspect for an unrelated issue. Moose swear this locomotive has a death wish!

Yep, the pilot and the tender's front truck derailed on the turnout...
    1_No3500Mishap_20220511_114644.jpg 2_No3500Mishap_20220511_114953.jpg

Moose decided to try to pull a train with the one BLI [steam] locomotive that Moose has that actually mostly runs the layout without stuttering. And you can see what it decided to do...

Yeah, the wheels done fell, Moose repeats, FELL out of the tender aft truck. What, and might Moose add, the [IMG] !
    21_No9503_OhCrap_20220511_121420.jpg 22_No9503_OhCrap_20220511_122032.jpg

Then Moose decided to try to pull a passenger train with a BLI [disease'el] locomotive, No. 600. This locomotive actually can occasionally run the layout without needing Moose to get out and push. A Micro-Trains passenger coach didn't want to play nice between the locomotive and the rest of the Kato passenger coaches...
    31_No600Train_20220511_144905.jpg 32_No600Train_20220511_145139.jpg

After getting the train room mostly tidied-up (i.e. threw everything into the closet and closed the door), Moose had No 600 pull on to passenger siding no. 1 and let the terrified passengers off...

Oh, then Moose went downstairs to find Terry the Retiree and Skye the (Ex)Trainee doing yoga in the dining room...

Sounds like i am not the only one having issues with BLI. I am lucky, none of mine jump track but a Atlas RS-2. Wish i had about 3-4 foot more layout. I would replace the #4's with #6 turnouts. There is where i have the most trouble.

Moose, Moose, Moose. You sure do have a way with trains. And now I am wondering about the BLI I ordered...... But, on the bright side, I am glad to know I am not the only one with switch point picking issues, and other issues of derailments and train splitting! Thanks for making me feel better!!

If its Paragon 4 I have heard they fixed there issues with dcc. Paragon 3 is what mine was. I had two of them. Both were same issues.

Am hoping so. It is with trembling hands that I ordered it, and a bit of trepidation and wondering if it will be another lemon. Surely hope not.

Okay guys, Moose enjoy bashing BLI as well as the next, errr, animal (human or otherwise), but please let's get this thread back on track ... Otherwise, moose stampede. Yes, be afraid. Be very - oh, look. Purrty flowers!

Soooo, do lilac's, tulips and irises distract a moose from his regularly scheduled stampeding??? 'Cause I do have some of those, and some wild roses , too!

Moose finished designing and fabricating the 94 wee styrene details that together will make the cornice that will go around the top floor of the brewery's main building.

Moose assembled and installed the cornice section that goes along the north side.

Yes, fiddly bits take a long time to make and assemble. All hooves!

    Very nice.
I like seeing traditional scratch building techniques being utilized.

Finished the roof for the brewery shed.

Used textured paper, cut into narrow strips, with 40-41 teenie tiny slits cut into each one of them.

Sure, it looks more like HO scale than N scale, but it's the best these moose hooves could manage without going insane!

I think you nailed it Moose! Lots of tedious work and the end result is something you can be proud of.
