Yes. Not sure who is still active with these. There was one such operation on a former logging RR line in Washington State. There is or was one in Wisconsin, using ex-MILW tracks. It was based in or near Durand. Try Googling for 'rail bike tours'.
I don't quite get it. What exactly is Rail Explorers? They first define it as pedal powered railbike, then they say it's electric. Then they say that Rail Explorers is excited to bring this unique, one-of-a-kind outdoor activity to the Midwest. The railbike is excited? Are the railbikes normally sold or rented? How long is the route? Do you ride out and back? Are the 35 new jobs in Iowa (with three full-time positions) in manufacturing of the railbikes or as tour guides? Someone spent about five minutes writing this story.

I saw the following video... ... a year or two ago. These guys worked and I think they now have a couple more videos out. I was only going to watch a few minutes but then the hook was set and I watch the whole thing. Sumner
