To day I'm working on the road to the houses at Caliente.
This detail was still missing on my N-Scale layout.

Having been there more than a few times, you really hit the scenery just perfect. Without seeing anything else but the pictures, I have always easily identified where you were modelling...then to see you're in Switzerland makes it even more amazing! GREAT JOB!

Never been there, but it sure is convincing!

I like the way the hillside is cut for the rail line (beyond the lead locomotive), and again for the highway, where the po-po is all set up to ruin someone's afternoon. I've always been fascinated how "cut and fill" right-of-ways, whether for highways or rail lines, are employed in rolling terrain.

Eugen, great scene, great photo, *great* layout.

I remember still so fondly you allowing me to visit you and your layout that Saturday long ago in when I was in town on a business trip. The company of you and your superb modeling, the beautiful impromptu meal together at home with your wife.... all model railroad friend memories that last a lifetime.

Thx again for sharing these great photos and your inspiration with all of us. Do give me a call if you are ever in my part of Florida.

    All the best,

Just amazing work! I also sort of model that area, from Barstow CA to Winslow AZ, I have the track all laid out and working in an automated fashion.
It is just vetted out with track and electrical work. Started the AZ side of the scenery with the Ponderosa Pines and Flagstaff. The desert will be the hard part.

A scene of Winslow AZ just wouldn't be complete without a flatbed Ford!

Well Andy, I am looking for the right N Scale blue eyed blonde to be the driver, and if you see the back of the truck, it will have the brake lights illuminated.
And there will be a guy with a guitar case and his thumb out if I can find one close.

I was lucky enough to grab the bridge kit for the Colorado River crossing at Topock before TrainCat shut down. It is a heck of a kit!

I have a bit of time to build up my confidence on that, Winslow engine facility is nearly completed and the Left/Right switchover how ATSF ran is also done.

I have been there and your work is spot on. The Los Angeles section is on my list of top five areas of all n scale layouts. I look forward to your next update.
