That was a shock a few years ago when I stopped for gas on New Jersey's Garden State Parkway. Got out of the car and went to the pump as I do everywhere else. An attendant with a "Jersey Shore" accent was quickly in my face explaining how things were done in Joisy.
In Tulsa, a shiny red '55 Ford pickup, some cool neon, a location between the town's best private school and its finest shopping center, and a tradition going back decades. And the highest prices in town.
I have a Gulf service station, and a Standard Oil distributor. I cannot recall the kit manufacturers.

Looks like an Imperial parked at lower right! Sweet! Six or seven bucks to fill that tank. More like north of two hundred now...
Gas was rather pricey at that station for the 60s...especially for Gulftane, which was Gulf's cheapest gas.
