DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE IS A WEBSITE THAT HAS CURRENT RAILROADING MAPS BY STATE (EX: COLORADO) OR BY CITY/COUNTY (EX: PUEBLO/PUEBLO COUNTY, CO) THAT I COULD GO TO? THANKS!!!!!!!!!
Good question. With all the panic over security, such might not be available. I know, for example, BNSF does have a system map on their site. Which you can zoom in to view. But it might not be the type of detail you seek. UP? Others? At one time, the State of South Dakota had a map on their pages. But that's the only one I ever came upon. Boxcab E50
You might try the DOT for each state you are interested in. Here is one for Minnesota: http://www.dot.state.mn.us/ofrw/maps/RailLines20070418.pdf
New Mexico: http://nmshtd.state.nm.us/upload/images/Maps/pdf/rail_map_dV9_3.pdf Colorado: http://www.dot.state.co.us/railroadstudy/reports/final/TechnicalMemorandum4Figures1.pdf
New Mexico: http://www.nmshtd.state.nm.us/upload/images/Maps/pdf/rail_map_dV9_3.pdf East Colorado: http://www.dot.state.co.us/EastCOMobilityStudy/Reports/Rail.pdf Colorado (various maps throughout document): http://www.dot.state.co.us/railroadstudy/reports/final/TechnicalMemorandum4Figures1.pdf
Depending on what you are looking for, you can use the Google tools, MapQuest, etc. and get this kind of information from a satellite point of view. :computer: :computer: :computer: :computer:
I actually googled that map up, Ken, thanks anyways! I was actually hoping for the exhaustive info like the Colorado link.....
There is a fellow who sells profiles and blueprints. Might have what you need. If that sort of thing is helpful. He has a web site... Boxcab E50
I know you're looking for a website, but this is also something to keep in mind. I have 2 wallmaps made by this company: http://www.deskmap.com/railroad.html
