    Hey Cody:

I too live in Calgary and am a new Z-scaler. I've been in it now I guess for almost 3 years and I got hooked by seeing a Z scale layout at the annula Supertrain show at the soccer dome. By the way, I'm displaying a very small part of my layout there again this year. If you're interested, how about we meet for coffee somewhere and talk about our mutual hobby. Being new at this, I can offer a few pieces of advice which I've gleaned from the super fine people here on Trainboard. I'm in the SE near Glenmore and 18th. Perhaps we can get together.
There aren't that many Z scalers here in the city. I only know of one for sure and he's the guy who go me started. He'll be at the show this year too with his layout. Drop me a line.

Good start! I like the fact you have your trains on the track and running. It sure makes the completion easier when you can see them run!

    Thanks Folks!

Nothing new on the layout to report, but I did find some time to rebuild the rear truck on my GP35 which was causing some trouble with the switches. It was just a wheelset slightly out of gauge which I fixed, and everything seems to be running even better now. Although, when I had the GP35 apart I cut off the truck mounted couplers, so until I find some time to install body mount couplers, not many trains will be pulled. I haven't looked into it yet, but I'm hoping I can find an aftermarket snowplow somewhere because I don't really want to try scratchbuilding one.

Ken, I'll send you a PM, it's good to know there are at least a few Z scalers in Calgary.

Cody, MTL sells the snowplows for the SD40. Maybe those will work for you.
