Let me bounce a couple of new product ideas off you guys: Z-Scale Signal Bridges. If so, which ones? C&O / B&O Cantilevered UP Cantilevered SP / ATSF Cantilevered PRR Lines PRR Lines West Create a different style of Tankcar Platform to fit the New AZL Tankcar Stainless Steel Fences Woodchip Loader Construction Trailer Oil Derrick Let's hear what you think guys
Two votes for Woodchip Loader. "How much wood can a woodchip ship if a woodchip could ship wood" Please keep the feedback coming, and thank you.
How about some N scale parts for kitting up pipe racks and plumbing for a chemical plant? Especially including catwalks, ladders, and such. That would seem to complement your tanker loading racks nicely. If votes are constrained to your listed options, I'd go with the fences. I could use some good N scale fences.
I would cast a vote for a PRR signal bridge. I know of at least a few of them that were recently decommissioned by Norfolk Southern in the Harrisburg area. Many of them survived into (and through) the Conrail era. Even the PRR mast signals were still in use until a few months ago. The Pennsy signal bridge between the Rockvill Bridge and Clarks Ferry was just taken out of service in late 2009, but it is still standing. I think that an oil derrick could also be cool, but in addition to the Derrick, walking beam pumps (pumpjacks) would be really cool. And pumpjacks could be multi scaled. Dan S.
Fred, that was not on the list because TrainCat just won the contract to make the Wilson Manufacturing Auto Ramps and this is a done deal in multiple scales INCLUDING Z!! It's a rare time like this I wish we had that annoying icon that jumps up and down.
Bob, Excellent! I was just about to recommend a moveable ramp to go with the new AZL new auto transport cars. Who is the contract with if you can say? John
Slow down big fella! I don't think Tim is "Pimping" anything here...just showing his work. No need for the aggression. I would also think you'd be glad to know someone else has something in the works so you can do something different or make it better. This happens to us all the time and I'd rather avoid duplicating than getting in a spittin' match over some plastic. This was on my short list as a laser offering with brass details...now I know better. Thank you Bob and Tim for saving me a lot of work and poor sales! ) Anyway, glad you got the contract, I hope this ramp is a success for you. N should be your best bet at this point, I belive Walthers had/has an HO Scale ramp in plastic...in other posts I didn't hear if anyone noted that. Not sure if your version is different...but I know the quality will be much finer. Cheers Joe MTL
haha! Jeff and I drew up some autocarrier loading ramps out of Lazerboard, and he has been showing them on his module for a while now too. I gave the drawings to Chris Tatarian to sell as his own product because I did not think there would be volume enough for me to bother with writing instructions. On another note autocarrier note, Don Fedjur gave me a couple samples of the vinyl auto carrier loading parking lot we drew up for Jeff, and they look cool, a great place to use those loading ramps: http://zcentralstation.com/componen...9/autorack_progress_4_20091124_1456896417.jpg
