What Is On Your Rarest Motive Power Roster? It does not matter if it cooks steam, burns fuel or picks up electricity. Has 4 axles or 6. If it's super rare in Z scale it belongs on a list here. I would like to start out with what I think are my prized pullers. :tb-wink: SP 4-8-4 GS-4. Not rare, but it's a de-skirted half black/half daylight. SP ALCO RS-11 painted Black Widow. SP Baldwin AS-616 painted Black Widow. AT&SF 4-6-2 Pacific. (made entirely from brass) UP SD9043MAC. I am pretty sure they are the only ones in Z scale, but I am not sure so lets hear what you've got.
Not necessarily rare, but I have a couple of Robert Ray GP35 conversion kits to build a GP30. No, they are not done yet.
Well there is that "Operation Lifesaver" paint job that Lindley did for me. As far as we know, there is one Z scale engine (mine) and the N scale one - two that Lindley painted and I saw an HO scale one at a train show.
The GP35 I repainted wearing Ferrocarril Chiapas Mayab paintscheme (once a subsidiary of Genesee & Wyoming, hence the colours). FCCM was a remote shortline in Yucatan, Mexico, and after G&W dropped it the railroad changed its name into Ferrocarril del Istmo de Tehuantepec, becoming a state subsidiary. But most rolling stock and motive power kept their original paintscheme. The loco will belong to the roster of my future mexican layout. Still missing the oblique black stripes on the pilot. I will try to do them cutting black decals. Dom
