Well, it's not petty, but after nine long months, the day I never thought wold come, my layout is once again operational. Operating on life supprt with sections hot wired with alligator clips, spit, and bailing wire, but all three line are functioning.
For those who may have thought I never really had a layout, finally a progress shot of my HCD. That's my new Kato JNR C62 4-6-4 and Tsubame passenger train making it's first run on the layout at the bottom:

Been working on lighting and interior for a firehouse on the HO layout... The guys need to blow off steam between runs so I gave them a pool table in the rec room, complete with fire pole for a quick exit. Much more work to go still.
