just posted this in another forum here spotted SP bay caboose in san francisco! - TrainBoard.com can anyone help me ID if the upcoming athearns or if MTL produced this? i dont think im pro enough to spot the differences. doesnt have to be same #, just same body style i suppose. looks like its got more windows than the ones released so i may be out of luck. thats about the only major difference i can pinpoint
Here's what appears to be a builders photo of 1235. http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/acfx/sp-c1235dsw.jpg It was a class C30-4. Built 1-47 by ACF. These were the first bay-window cabooses on the SP. The closest N scale model is the Con-Cor bay window caboose.
I'd love to answer this by illustrating the various bay window crummies SP had. However, the last time I did I was asked to remove them. GRRRRR! I'm not able to go back to the original website so...we is out of luck. It's one of them... Kind of hard to tell which one since it's behind the fence and the picture isn't real clear. Check the SP Historical Websites: SP Trains Page I'm sure you can find it.
Thanks for posting that, TrainCat2; I had forgotten about your kits. I need to consider picking up a couple of your SP cabooses. MH
wowmom, thats gorgeous. wow brass. does that come flat or assembled ready to paint? i guess ill save up my lunch money.
It's a "flat" brass kit, but you don't need to be a "magician" to assemble! Preview the instructions here: http://traincat2.com/Manuals/SPC-30BW.pdf ( Bob... any news of the SP boxcar?... I'm waiting patiently!)
Hi Enzo, Not doing a SP Box Car in the near future but I am doing a SP Stock Car (S-40-8) that is 80% done.
BOX? I "really" write "Box".... ? WHY? OK.... I'm "starting" to be old? Well, I means Stock! I'm waiting you, Bob! Take care.
