Getting ready to head to Hershey PA for the N Scale Convention. Going to drive, stopping at Cass for some geared locomotive action first. Hope to see some of you there!
Man oh man I wish I was going. I really enjoyed last year's convention, and will hopefully make it next year. Pictures, please!!
Bon Voyage, Safe Travel, and Have Fun. Just remember that all those Idiots on the road are convinced you're one too, so try to stay out of their way, 'cause they're not on rails either...:tb-wacky:
They will probably mail it to me. Although it would be funny if you went up at the banquet and told them that you were really me in disguise.
Phew! I thought you were leaving leaving. Glad it's leaving to somewhere enjoyable. Wish I were going too. Have a great time and drive safe.
Wow! Stopping at Cass. My late mother grew up in Cass WV. I was there once when I was very young. I can still remember the old time general store and the train ride, wish I could remember more. My GF and I have been talking about going back sometime. Have a safe and fun trip.
Have a good & safe ride brother! If you get lost, you can always swing by here & pick me up.:tb-tongue:
Have a safe trip, Jerry! And enjoy your visit to Cass. It's beautiful up there. Hey, if you get a chance, let me know if they've done anything with that Diesel engine that was sitting just the other side of the grade crossing to parking lot from the station last summer... http://youtu.be/aLHuipTgMZo Cass Scenic Railroad, Cass, WV
Glad to hear you're not leaving Trainboard, too!!! Jerry, You and I are old schoolers from the early days on the old Atlas board, and your title gave me a scare!!!!! I always thought I was a devout trainguy, but frankly, I am left in your exhaust!!!! You are the ultimate train person. I am planning a trip to Mentor OH, later this fall, providing the health and finances keep on keepin' on, and maybe we can meet some place to talk tales and shake hands. Good luck and have a safe and railroad intense trip. Right now, some friends are planning a trip to Folkston, GA for some HD trainwatchin' and I have been invited. I am wondering if I should tag along now. The problem is sitting at one place for hours on end doing just one thing. Being an old retired guy I flit around my layout, workshop, home chores, and other hobbies like a fly at a picnic, so devoting time to one activity might be a challenge now. Retirement and old fartedness does that. Ken "FloridaBoy" Willaman EI
Wow, the same here. Did someone say attention deficit? I find it takes a lot of will power to stay focused long enough to finish a project. However, occasionally I tough it out and accomplish something. I just hope that when my wife retires in the next year from her carrier as a project manager, that she does not try to run me like one of her projects.
