Mark, It appears the smaller bins are all about the same size. I would make one REALLY good master (of one of the taller ones) and cast a bunch in resin, cut to size as needed. As such, I think doing individual styrene panels over a pvc core would be the best method.
Thank y'all for the suggestions. As always, there seem to be as many potential solutions as there are modelers -Mark
Mark, check these out. Made by Imex. http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-scale-3-G...685059?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item1e616f06c3 Along with these the and the Rix product you can come up with a fairly vaired grain operation. The smaller bins on legs are the wet holding bins that feed higher moisture corn into the grain dryers. After the grain is dried and cooled it os then sent to the large bis for storage. It also looks like there are two silos in your pictures that also are for grain storage. These facilities tend to evolve over time with structures add as needed. Imex also makes silos. http://www.ebay.com/itm/IMEX-N-SCAL...286247?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item337a114ce7
I found a place called Clever Models: http://clevermodels.squarespace.com/textures/. They have a painted corrugated metal texture sheet 8.5 x 11 in N scale for $1.99. When you get to the site go to the 3rd row down, and the 4th square in - there are 2 or 3 others which also might work. Hope it helps.
Various firms do corrugated paper/card in different spacings - Craft firms do rollers that make corrugated card - I don't know if either of those will be any use. Search for paper crimper - you might be able to feed flattened aluminium pie-dish foil through it. Worth a thought This might do what you want http://www.google.co.uk/products/ca...a=X&ei=Eor1UODhE7K10QWo_4HICQ&ved=0CH4Q8wIwDQ = It seems to be US made
FYI on the Imex bins, there are apparently some bundling options that are different from the set pictured in that particular auction. BLW lists two-packs of the legged bins and two-packs of the big bins - http://buynscale.com/IMEX.htm -Mark
Reminds me of that old SNL skit - "with a name like death camp it must be so good it's incredible!" -Mark
A friend suggested Shapeways, but he is concerned the corrugation may be so fine that Shapeways may not be able to produce a crisp model. Any thoughts?
