Courtesy of Frank Kenny here is a video clip of railroad traffic in and out of Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal in time-lapse. This was taken on Rob Caves’ HO scale Eastern California Railroad in Altadena, CA. There are additional scenes from around Rob’s layout on the video clip.

Rob’s layout is one of over seventy standard and narrow gauge railroads that will appear on the layout tour as part of the National Narrow Gauge Convention
    ( http://www.33rdnngc.com/ ) August 28th through the 31st in Southern California.

    I like it.
Last time I was through LAUPT was.....19.....fifty.......nine or 1960.
I remember the tracks being a little busier as far as multiple-slip switches.
    Probably much more simplified nowadays.
    Bishop/Laws.
Yeah, I've incorporated C&C, or SPNG in layouts....the most direct was Mound House.....but to see standard gauge IN Bishop.....when the NG tracks passed well east of Main Street, out past the airport....that's something would have been nice to have been reality.
    Grew up in Bishop.
Spent more time at Laws than I can even come close to remembering now.
Had the SP actually converted the C&C to standard gauge for another main.....wartime.....and kept it....that's what we'd have seen.
    Neat!
