Hi, My friend Maik had some problems with the sound of his new E7-B-Unit. The Sound is good, but there's a backgroundsound like poping Popcorn. That isn't a normal sound, Sebastian. Not for the older diesels. I suspect there's something wrong with the decoder's sound files, but possibly the speaker.
Th popping sound does sound like a bad speaker or the speaker coil hitting something... Take the shell off and see how the speaker is behaving... Didn't know Walthers had sound equipped E7's....aren't these BLI or Precision? Regards, Otto K.
I have a Proto 2000 E-7 a & B set. I do not remember there being any abnormal background sounds in mine. I haven't run them in a while. I'll have to get them out and try them again.
