A couple of those look like the Tehachapi Loop. Gee, the one with all the Rio Grande power--we might have been there the same day, but as usual, as a steam snob, I didn't care much for diesels. My photos from that day are very poor. Lived in Lancaster at the time. Hard to believe the SP is gone.

So neat seeing these. I also agree I wish I had taken pictures down at the Tucson Yard when I had the opportunity. Never realized that SP would't be there one day. Thanks so much for sharing Fellas
Same with me at Delores. It is really fitting that I shot one of the last tank trains on a foggy day with black and white film
There is a good chace that you saw me. If you watch the Pentrex video of that run, you will see a 15 year old kid wearing a red and white letterman jacket.....
I can take you back another 20 years! As a kid, I got to hang around Roseville & Colton, CA.... and got to Cajon pass too.... Here's something that few have seen, except in model form!! YUP, U50! And.... DD35! I never could identify that TEBU, but it was a cool find!! Carmine, Owner, Creator, CEO & Bottle Washer... The Pacific Belt RR, in HO Scale Since 1975!
Some superb captures. Here is a question for you. Does anyone have any pictures of a U50C with DD 35 or DD40 trucks? Perhaps UP diesels. I could swear, on one of the videos I have. a VCR there is a picture of a said locomotive moving across the Colton Crossing and the trucks are those mentioned. I know a slight change in the subject matter.
