Hi all, I am in the Knoxville, TN area for the next three months. Can anyone steer me towards any shops that have a good selection of n scale? Layouts and museum suggestions would also be appreciated. I've done some internet searching and so for have not found anything. Knoxville, Maryville and surrounding areas are doable for me. Should I make a day to go to the NMRA headquarters? Thanks everyone.
There is a club in Johnson City (I-26) ~1 ½ hours from central Knoxville. http://www.memrr.org/ There is a club in Crossville (I-40). http://crossvillemodelrrclub.com/ There is a club in Oak Ridge. http://knoxmodelrailroaders.com/ I would call before making a trip to these clubs. Bob
As far as hobby shops go, Hobby Town in Turkey Creek is about it. They have a decent amount of N scale and usually build up their inventory this time of year. If you do go to Chattanooga make sure to check out the Tennessee Valley railroad Museum ( TVRail.com)
