Are you 100% sure you've spelt "triange" correctly?
What's a "triange 4-6-4"? Never heard of it and your local hobby shop probably never has either.

Wrong springs. The springs I'm talking about are the ones that bear down on the tops of the trucks.
As well as the other advice, make sure you stuff as much of the wires as you can way back inside the tender. Bachmann made the leads far too long....
