    Last week while waiting for my Toronto train at VIA Fallowfield station (Ottawa, ON), VIA No.42 arrived with coach 8138 on the tail-end. This car was built by Budd in 1947 as NYC 2954. After serving PC, AMTK and CR the car was acquired and rebuilt in the early 90's by VIA. It sure was nice to see the car still in use, 75 years after it was built for the NYC and 65 years after the last NYC train left Ottawa.

    Interesting find, Roger. I am assuming from your message that you had prior knowledge of the car's history and especially with NY Central.
