X3800 is needing a bit of TLC. Hope they can spruce her up this summer.

Thank you, jimmypage. A nice trip down memory lane. Very poignant.

Looks like you had a much nicer day or two there than I did! Beautiful photos!

Found this photo of the Milw depot in Redfield, IA. gcav17 and I took a fanning trip down there back in 11 or 12.

Nice looking little building. This appears to be the main line track side, so no operators bay. I wonder if it was remodeled at one time?

Going back this Tuesday to visit my daughter and grandson (he's about to turn 1 year old), my son-in law is going overseas shortly and he won't be around unfortunately. I hope to make some more trips to include Lewistown and back to Roy/Hilger areas.
They are stationed at Malmstrom AFB, and the Milwaukee Road rails literally pass by her yard. What's the odds?

Visiting sounds like a good way to get in some additional explorations.

Some more great photos. Love the museum in Harlowtown. I still have relatives living there that worked for the Milwaukee Road. Even though I have been to the museum a number of times, I still like to stop in.

I have also enjoyed a few cold ones in the Two Dot bar.

Brings back a lot of good memories of riding on the Little Joes and Box Cabs when I was a kid.

    Thanks for the post.

PIC_0121.JPG This one is sitting just a few miles west of Livingston. It is on a ranch visible from the interstate.

Sure sounds like fun. I have not been back there in years. :(

Doesn't look all that bad for condition. Is it de-trucked?

That car is up on cribbing made of ties. It's been there a long time, I first saw it in 92 when I had moved to the Livingston area. And just off the NP's old Main! The old Cokedale branch is just over the rise behind it and Livingston is downhill to the left.
