Ok I got some overhead pics of the modules without the trains on the tracks. The new town section (with Denny’s and DQ) is considered finished aside from road stripes, the center module is considered finished again aside from road stripes, and the 3rd old town module needs buildings in better condition than these before I finalize it all. The Exxon is a new structure, but I have that exact model a but more run down, not sure which one will be the final addition, and the car dealer, and shop are both Bachmann kits or prebuilt structures that both have warped bases due to the previous owner using Testers glue to glue it down to their layout. Alls the testers glue did was warp it all. As for trying to flatten them out, I tried boiling water, and a heat gun and both methods appeared to work, the bases did go flat, but over time they both buckled up just as they were before.

    Enjoy the pics.

Well I’m off to a show this weekend! WOOHOO… (think train whistle here)… I just about have everything packed up and ready to go. I need to get my tables attached to my trailer and everything loaded into the Avalanche. I plan on getting some pictures and video of the show, and especially the T-Trak layout! Here is my stuff staged ready to go.

Ok so the show is done. I had fun, it was a really good birthday present to myself. Yes when my wife’s asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I said I wanted to go to the train show… wish granted. I didn’t get pics of all the different layouts, just the pics of our club stuff. So here is everyone’s modules in the club all connected. Mine are all on one leg of the layout I have 16’ all together. My YouTube channel also has a video of the layout.

This module has no official name. We just call it and the pieces to the inside of the layout after the previous owner.

Part 3. These are all club owned or other members modules.

same module as the last pic in part 2, only better pics of the river and bridges.

The next 2 are a future industrial complex.

And here is the Yard Modules. There are currently 3 that make up the yard, but more can easily be added in the middle.

And I believe part 4 will be the last of the bunch.

Here we go for part 4!

The owner calls this his industry module.

And here is the Pilot truck stop.

And yes you seen it right, Swift Transportation is having a typical day at the office.

And lastly, the biggest hit from the entire show, at least from where I was sitting is the Island of Sodor modules. The kids didn’t even care that there was no scenery, they just had a blast playing with Thomas and Percy.

Is Construction Corner yours? I also have a Bachmann School & Playground building that warped and I am going to try and cut a thin piece of styrene and glue it to the base to flatten it back. I'll report if it works in the future! Very nice modules, great work!

Construction corner is not mine. Mine started with the pink foam and ended with the Nightmare Before Christmas module.

So, funny(ish) story. One of the members gave me a bit of crap about my Nightmare module. Saying it’s unrealistic and not prototypical. Yadda yadda. I told him it was a fun module for the kids, and who cares, this is supposed to be fun. He grumbled… this was at Kelso back in October. So he did notice the attention the module got then, and again the attention it got here as well. And at the end of this show he was talking about making a Dragonball Z fight scene on a single module. I told him go for it, that would be fun and I’m sure the kids will like it. Funny, wouldn’t that not be prototypical?…

You should have told him not to as that's not prototypical.

Maybe so, but the high road is always the best road... Especially since he's already taken the message to heart.

Really for a public show to get young people in the hobby. Ask one of the kids if they know what prototypical means. I think not. Geez…

Best part of that video, is the solution was so easy… just back up 20 feet and there was plenty of room to “turn this rig around”.

Hello all, getting back into model railroading after a long absence. Starting with a couple of T Trak modules to start up, have a MP Mikado on the way and digging out what little stuff has been stored all these years. Looking for a group in the Arkansas/Missouri area.
