Hmm... I felt real sleepy after I ate my chocolate eggs today. They must have been delivered by the Ether Bunny...
After bucking over 3 feet of snow this week, I'm sick of seeing it, but Alan's photo of those snowbound rolling icicles is just chillingly good.
Here it is gone. But not for long... Just heard tomorrow's forecast - a high of 1C and... snow!!! Noooooooo!!! I think I'll pull my shovel out of storage and brandish it at the sky in the hopes it stays in ski country where it belongs...
The new Classic Trains has a brief story on the GP-30. I learned that the CP owned them -- 2 Ea to be exact!
I was out hunting for Classic Trains this morning. Came back with Steam's Lost Empire vol III. Nice stuff. Back in my youth, in the 1970s, I had the pleasure to spot one in a very long train (five locos up front, two in the middle) going through Ste-Thérèse station. I was tickled pink that I saw an actual GP30. I would have likely been tickled a few more colors had I known then that it was one half of CP's entire roster of them!
