Can anybody recommend some books, websites or such about rail operations and such about early rail? I'm particularly interested in 1880ish to 1930ish for a timeframe. UP big boys and great northern mountain is also interesting to me but more is available for this. Both together in the same layout would stretch the concept of freelance but budget constraints say one or the other.
