Here is an old one from the files. I kit bashed the SP (T&NO) Sunbeam from Con Cor engine parts and Atlas Rivarossi cars. One of the coaches is articulated.
some closeups of my rock work... ... from my "Rusty Mountain Pass" diorama, which can be seen in - THIS THREAD
The JJJ&E on three levels. Two Shays reach the summit on the upper level. Stay cool and run steam.....
I have a Rail images account, but was wondering how I should go about uploading new pics since the change has happened. I don't have any layout pics but was fortunate enough to catch C&S #9 parked out in front of the Colorado Historical Society this week.
When you first carved that rock I was wondering if it would look interesting once done. Your results are truly impressive. Very nicely done.
Mike, That looks great! Put a piece of track and a loco on that! The Shays and the SP Daylights look very nice!
Thanks! I forgot to make the additional smaller cuts to simulate rock cracks... but it still looks OK to me. I think I'll try a lighter base color next time. Some rocks and sand are next up.... then SHRUBBERY!
The LLL takes delivery of 8 new wood sheathed boxcars from the Sutter & Bradford car works. I think they put old trucks onto new cars. Single door car And a new caboose Wolfgang- You have not ceased to amaze me.
Kisatchie cars Great pictures so far. Long weekend so I hope we get more. I was going through my layout rolling stock for an open house and remembered the excellent cars made by our TrainBoard member, Kisatchie. They are custom painted and decalled. Very nice work here at TB. Click for larger picture Click for larger picture Click for larger picture
Hi, all, I just got back from a business trip out of the country, so no new model photos this week; here's one out of the archives: Nice to be home, hope you all are doing well. I'm going to go and weather a couple of GP30's now...... (smile)
ATSF Pacific # 1265 with feedwater heater and additional piping. A Z scale MT # 905 coupler on the front pilot. The Unitrack has been completely weathered, painted and ballasted with Color Canyon materials natural rock ballast. Stay cool and run steam......
New units in operation. Here are some Kato SD 40-2s from the second run. I have them renumbered and touched them up with a bit of paint. and the rear of the train....... I have a lot more work to do on them. But it is so much fun watching them work! I just couldn't wait!!
The rail line climbs at 2.5% here. It quickly gains enough height that the East Harbor has some rather stiff walls. I need to break up the height. The narrow pier on the left is a start. The pier has to be removable, so that I can remove the whole harbor for maintenance on the upper decks.
