A greatly abbreviated depiction of work west of SP's West Colton in N scale. I need to keep the depth at around 12" to facilitate a longer mainline run opposite the isle. Goals; Space limits. Long enough siding for many cars. 2 Loco Escape. Run around. A tail track for opposing point tracks without using industry tracks. Busy, but not overly complex. Industries; A1-Grit Peterman Lumber California Steel Interchange Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions or Master Metals I'm liking this iteration. I feel good enough to move ahead even if things change a bit.
After considering what is easily recognizable I decided to replace Master Medal with Martin Marietta. MM has a distinct dome structure that should be a challenge to build. Note the turnout positioning vs how rolling stock will be pushed through. I attempted to straighten as much as I could for a smooth flow. The track between A1-Grit and the curved interchange is the tail/shoving track for Peterman Lumber and Martin Marietta.
