We used to use 3 or 5mm LEDs to light fiber optic strand all the time inside of PCB racking and cabs, you just shrinkwrap a dozen or so strands right to the LED to transmit light through the fiber. Anybody tried this with the Woodland Scenics Just Plug lights? Wondering if it would work, or if the bulbs would get too warm inside a sleeve of shrinkwrap. ...asking mainly because if I can afford it it'd be worth the extra money for hubs and expansions than the nine pages of voltage drop calculations to figure out all the LEDS and fiber I plan to use
