Agreed... it looks good but the price is not 'apparently' comensurate with the item. I cannot tell if that is a kitbashed plastic wood caboose or if it was a craftsman wood kit. It has free standing grab irons and reasonably good detail... the picture is a bit fuzzy though. Sent from my SM-J737T using Tapatalk
They did indeed put some work into it. But these types of efforts only return value of labor invested, (which most likely explains the pricing), on the very rarest, yet most desirable items. Does this fit such a category. Seems doubtful....
All, Here's one for you. SOO Line 800-809, GE U30C Complete Model Roster, Minitrix N Scale. | eBay at that $ Not A Chance ! Tom
A couple of interesting (i.e. strange) things on this one. First is free shipping on a 6x3.5 layout that weighs 42 lbs. Second is it looks like the base is just honeycomb cardboard. Finally, most of the buildings are also cardboard with 'photos'(?) of the buildings pasted on them. In actuality, it IS a pretty good representation of Truckee, however, but still a bit pricey for me. https://www.ebay.com/itm/N-SCALE-TR...519936?hash=item23d459f280:g:4sgAAOSwgMxe0QXV
I'm always surprised at some of the things that get posted in the N Scale category that has no reason to be there. How do you accidentally post a Roof Top Hvac Unit in the N Scale parts and accs? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Roof-Top-Hvac-Unit/353216082300?hash=item523d51b17c:g:C0cAAOSwWMhfb6Wa
No, no, no! You actually put that on the roof of your house so you can keep the basement and/or garage climate controlled for your trains!
I think I had this when I was a kid. It had cowboy and Indian figures instead of army men, but it was the same idea. I, however, isn't N scale (60mm figures sound like the old army men size that is closer to O scale) and it isn't worth almost $900 https://www.ebay.com/itm/paragon-western-fort/402280815743?hash=item5da9ce1c7f:g:0J8AAOSwBrhe0-FE
Another collection from 'his grandfather' that this guy is selling. Mostly old Atlas, Walthers, and 2(?) Bachmann engines. I guess they're 'rare' but why do people try and sell things they don't know anything about? The condition is listed as 'Condition is used and new' https://www.ebay.com/itm/n-scale-trains-lot/174539118049?hash=item28a35795e1:g:SkUAAOSw~apfpdO-
Another similar lot. I guess the old Atlas gas giant tanks are worth something to a collector but the rest is not worth much (IMHO) https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-42-...708099?hash=item2f4d802ac3:g:xCIAAOSwxmJfn1gs
This one is just confusing, but checks most of the wrong boxes...O gauge listed in N Scale - check. Picture doesn't come close to the description - check. Crazy asking price - check. Wait, it doesn't say 'rare' in the description... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Williams-b...421926&hash=item4b765e7809:g:FlcAAOSwJiRec8sW
More overpriced junk (I guess if you want to start collecting Aurora Postage Stamp trains...): https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-N-...991542?hash=item5dadeda676:g:OJkAAOSwkupfKTvx
Finally found the winner: Vintage, Rare, Minitrix F units: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Mi...034937?hash=item2876c0be39:g:c08AAOSwYkJcYxp1
https://www.ebay.com/itm/WESTERN-PA...593236?hash=item2625d6d414:g:E1AAAOSwJcldbD7~ But you don't understa-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-nnnnddddd..................It's PROFESSIONALLY CUSTOM DECORATED BY OUR CUSTOM TRAIN DECORATOR. As this "hobby store" used this as an example of his work, I am guessing that not too many people "commissioned" this "Professional Custom Decorator" to do a job. May that guy rest in peace and all that, but that paint job is going to need some major fixing. It does not say which version of this it is. The last versions, in plastic boxes, were not too bad. Anything other than that is junque. This one by the same "Professional Custom Train Decorator" is a little better https://www.ebay.com/itm/CLINCHFIEL...942905?hash=item23c4e11db9:g:~KgAAOSwLztdbD32 The price is still ridiculous and it still does not say what version of this that it is. https://www.ebay.com/p/1909143121?iid=174327892953 Which one is at auction? ...........the Bachperssonn S-4 or the LL BL-2?
I don’t see the price, I really don’t. It’s a waffle board benchwork, most of the buildings are printed on paper and the areas where the buildings are plastic, just don’t cut it. I know I didn’t fully detail all of my layout before I sold it, but I sure did more than this guy, and felt kinda guilty selling for 1/2 as much.
ICK. That is flat out crudely done. How can anyone list it with such a description, and also want us to actually believe them.....?
Plus that is the old version which runs poorly. The new revised version comes with Bmann's version of a working knuckle coupler. I have two of the new version which run great and I paid far less than that for it brand new.
