Very nice brewery. Excellent work. I bet the beer is first rate also. Can I order a case of Mooses Maibock?
Glad to see you are back!! And that yer wee hooves haven't forgotten how to build teeny N scale stuff! Looking very nice!
Moose trying to catch up with posting photos of work "progress" of late... Moose had picked up some rolling stock at the recent Boeing Employees Model Railroad swap meet. One was an old Kadee-era Micro-Trains SP&S caboose, which Moose painted up a bit (see before and after photos). Two others were reefers, one re-identified as the third of four planned OBX cars (see photos of each side), and the other re-identified for the FOAX (see photo).
Moose also started assembling Woodland Scenics building kits from the Town & Factory set. Painted the insides black and masked them in preparation for air brushing primers and the like. Gonna take quite a while to get these finished. Have to wait until the weather is nice enough to paint in the garage - Mrs Moose no wanna have air brushing or the like in the house, and doesn't trust ducting the paint booth out a window... Whatever Mrs Moose says, Mr Moose obeys!
Okay, Moose missed the transfer building. Here's a photo after painting the interior and masking it off, and another after adding the loading dock. Wasn't going to have the loading dock, but decided it needed it. Now of course, Moose no have space on layout to place the transfer building, so might just use it as the practice building for re-learning to use air brushes...
I have wanted that kit forever, have no room for it, but still want it. Should have bought it years ago when it was cheaper, but still a good deal, me thinks? Like the way you show the WS names, and then I am guessing your names on the Green tape? Very cool, this I have to see completed. Cyclery is that a word? Thought it was Celery at first. Some hard to read as they are upside down for me Is that other word Harvest? It's the grocery, and The Full Nelson as in wrestling?
I have that building set. Many of the buildings all over THERR. THE WIFE wanted it for most of 'Jeans Valley'. We bought it new from an online retailer years ago for $99.00 !!!
Yep, passed up the $99.00 price years ago, me sad now that I did $145 is the cheapest I can find it now? I want it in the near future to build like plastic aircraft models, and maybe a diorama, or a few, or just create a diorama downtown scene. I think it is still cheaper then buying each one alone? I like the HO version kit too! But I need/want the N Scale Town & Factory!
@in2tech Yes sir, those are tentative names for the buildings' businesses, based on some of Mr and Mrs Moose's favorite restaurants, places da Mooses' have gone, etc. The Harvest Beat Grocery and the Full Nelson are named after restaurants. The Mount Ventoux Cyclery is named after a mountain in France that the Tour de France occasionally goes over. As the kits are finished, Moose will provide info. on each...
Moose has been attempting to clean the layout's tracks for several days now. Here is just a sampling of what Moose has had to endure... Moose sits on the edge of the abyss, contemplating the work to be done far far below:
