I wonder how they did tank car cleaning back in the early 20th century?? On a modern layout, this is a simple build, with a lot of potential for details. A need for a 'critter' of some sort. A nearby private car repair shop, (in the old Milwaukee Road roundhouse at Miles City,) and some sidings. Railroading is always a fascinating industry!
For my first video catch of '24, I was able to catch this "unofficial" NP heritage unit as DPU during daylight hours!
They are now running V-trains with one unit fore and astern. Seems silly to me in winter, if the leader has heating issues, the crew is stuck getting cold. Old BN rules did not allow such an unsafe situation. But here we go,
Ain't caught much time to do the forum lately, but I still catch a train now and then! Caught this guy at Dickinson, ND. Waited 30 minutes in the COLD wind for it after hearing the dispatcher give them a warrant on the radio. And this was a happy surprise the other morning!! They are all still sitting here yet.
That old BN box car is a surprise. What is happening with the audio? It is very strange, gurgling-echo like.
Thanks for watching and commenting. The auctioneer was rattling away in the background, and there was a little bit of a breeze, so it yielded a funny sound. The new camera has a foam noise suppressor on it, but I may have to upgrade to a fuzzy one.
