Foundation is Poured

This will be the 'room' that will house my future HO Layout. This was a summer from hell getting this and other home improvement projects done. It will be awhile before the walls go in but Phase I was just to get the old broken up patio slab removed and a foundation poured. The space is basically 12x24 but will need to be usable to allow easy of access to all doors (shown) including a future sliding glass door on the west side (right) to a future deck as well. Stay tune for more details as the slow changes happen in the next few years...

      The new foundation is 18" plus think along the three outside edges and 42" think under each of the five posts. The rest of the flooring is 4-6" think with rebar and wire mess. When the room is enclosed the electrical box and water fauct will both likely have to be moved. The window well will need to remian usable as a fire escape as well as it is the outlet for the dryer vert; which will need something when the roon get's enclosed. We just finished giving all the posts and inner roofing a fresh coat of paint and sealled the concrete so it should be ready for winter weather.
