Well - I just got my N Bachmann C&O 2-6-6-2 today - going out to the garage to fire it up and pull some of my C&O hoppers...
I just saw a post from a newsgroup that C&O SD40 # 4617 was in a consist headed towards Savannah, Ga. today! Harold
4617 has been in the Charleston/Huntington,WV area almost all summer with weed spraying and MOW trains. Lots of folks got shots of her.......I hope she stays away from Huntington, though. The next she's up here she could either be scrapped or painted (unlikely, it still don't have ditchlights)!
Here's the Bachmann 2-6-6-2 pulling 16 hoppers - looks like I need to work on scenery... and this is the mantle of the fireplace...
Just had to put these up for the C&O fans - N scale InterMountain F7's fresh from our friends at Wig-Wag Trains. The last pic is the IM's meeting my Bachmann's:

Microscale N 60-47 C&O Cab Units & Caboose Pere Marquette. They had these in stock at one of the local hobby shops.
I could do a meeting with a 2-6-6-2 and a 2-8-4! I was just looking at the book Chesapeake & Ohio Steam In Color As Modeled by Dan Zugelter - I think I need to work on my steam roster. I focus on the mid-fifties, but after looking through this excellent book, I just might turn back the clock a few years. I'm also using the book for reference to rework an old N turntable that I bought back in 1974.
