Found this old girl sitting in Shelbyville, KY. I've been driving by it for a couple years now, and finally got a picture. What a shame to see it just sit and decay. Are any of these preserved?
Yes, there's one in a small park in Van Lear, Kentucky. THose of you who are country music fans may recognize that town as the hometown of Loretta Lynn (her homeplace in 'Butcher Holler' is right up the road). They've restored a nice little wooden C&O caboose for display. I'll try to post pics later. Chad
