Ken, Have you ever seen this wonderful photo of the CM&PS City Ticket and Freight offices at 2nd and Cherry Streets in Seattle ? http://content.lib.washington.edu/cdm4/item_viewer.php?CISOROOT=/curtis&CISOPTR=1007&REC=10 It is from the University of WA Archives. You can't say the Milwaukee didn't try or didn't have class when they came out west. I count four CM&PS heralds on the various windows, two windows with the company name spelled out in gold leaf and the company name spelled out on two sides of the building, probably also in gold leaf over carved letters. Magnificent! Allen.
