Someone here has an N scale coupler assembly jig that I thought I saw on Thingiverse. I can not find it on the web site. Can anyone give me the info I need to find it?
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4900517 I love the site, but their search stinks, just about any search I do I get pages of unrelated stuff. Do you know how to use their "Collections" feature? Anytime I come across something I think I might want to come back to I put it in a collection so I can find it again.
Thanks Robert. That's what I was looking for. Ken, I've had one for over 40 years. I can sort of get it to work but more often than not I get frustrated with it.
That's mine. Here is more info on it ..... http://1fatgmc.com/RailRoad/Locos-1/page-4.html .... and how to make one .... ... out of a block of wood that works about as good if you don't have a 3D printer. Sumner
With the sad state my eyesight and dexterity are in, I need a coupler assembly machine. Also, a locomotive repair machine, track laying machine, etc. Doug
Well after looking at that page, it seems to certainly be a good design. Except it only appears that it's application is limited to one coupler box type/size. I also use the 1025/1023, (old catalog numbers. Can't think of the new right now...001 02 009???), the box for those apparently won't fit.
its pretty easy to take that and resize the box opening . you will have to make a copy of the first one then resize the copy. thats what i do with a lot of 3d printed things buildings ect.
For a lot of sites, I use Google's site-specific syntax. For instance, I used this in the Google search box: site:thingiverse.com n scale coupler assembly and turned up the same item as Sumner offered.
@Sumner Your 3D printed items on Thingiverse are awesome. I have several of your items a friend that has a 3D printer, printed for me. Thank You! Keep up the great work!
