    From choosemaryland.org:

A subsidiary of BethIntermodal, Patapsco & Back Rivers (P&BR) Railroad is a shortline switching and terminal railroad.

Located in east Baltimore and Sparrows Point, Baltimore County, P&BR operates approximately 160 miles of track, and interchanges with both CSX Transportation and Norfolk Southern.
P&BR provides easy access to interstate highway systems and facilities for car cleaning, storage and transloading
In 2001 P&BR received a Gold Medal E.H. Harriman Safety Award as the safest short line in the country.
P&BR is currently ISO 9002 Certified.

Ah. That's a perfect fit for P&BR. Probably is the exact match. Would have never thought of that name.

This "Locomotive" was pulling a seven-car train unloading ties for Hurricane Katrina damage repair on the CSX NO&M sub. I can't find it listed in either of the EMD or GE catalogs... :D

Awwwwww............how cute- a baby locomotive out of its nest! Wonder if it'll grow up to be a great big AC4400 like its daddy?

Planters Peanuts in Ft. Smith, AR has a green 25-tonner similar to this little guy. IIRC, didn't the L&S have some GE 70-tonners at one time?

I believe it may be coupled to a 70 tonner in the photo.

L&S had some of just about everything, including Alcos.

Came along this, during last trip[ to Wisconsin, years ago:

And found this, busily at work, switching log loads:

    A liitle closer:

    Pulling away:

And yes, there was row upon row of logs! Miles of lumber, in about 15-18 foot high rows, waiting to be loaded and converted to paper! An incredible sight, if you've never seen anything like it!

Not necessarily that "esoteric," but it strikes me as odd enough to see one of these still in service on a Class I:

somewhere I saw a picture of a six-axle baldwin that was fitted with an EMD 567 and classified as a GP9.

Is that an RS rebuild with an EMD prime mover and radiator fans?
