The black & yellow color scheme was used primarily on freight engines prior to the introductionof the O/W scheme. The red color was used primarily on the E-units, although a handful suffered the indignity of being painted O/W near the end of passenger service.

<font color="336633">Well I have ordered the decals I need and I have the paint in stock so I guess I had better crack on and get the second car ready! here is a couple of shots of what I done so far. No doubt a few comments about ME painting a Burlington Northern Boxcar in Frisco...... Starting boxcar.
<font color="336633">The unwanted waffles cut off, all raised door detail and door rails also cut off.
<font color="336633">Last one for now, the new door (which came off an old Athearn 40' hi-cube) placed on the side to get an idea of how it will change the look of it

Here are some pics of the completed PS 50'6" boxcar, it just needs weathering. I have fitted KD 58's and Kato trucks to this one.
