Built in 1883 by Baldwin, D&RG 4-6-0 #168 hauled silver from the San Juan mountains, passengers from Colo Springs to Ogden UT, and Pres Taft to a dedication ceremony at Gunnison. The steamer sat in a downtown Colorado Springs park since 1937 until recently, in 2015 it was transported to restoration. Last May it started pulling passengers on restored stock for the Combres Toltec 64 mile trek.
Looking really good for 138 years young! Six years of fantastic work has put another grand lady back on the rails. Thanks for sharing that.
