I was reading another post about the speed issue, and this subject came up. But, No one said anything else about it. My question is has anyone done this and what size gear would you use?
I have read and tried changing speeds of early Kato's by changing trucks, a GP38 truck for a GP50 truck makes one go slower, I have it somewhere. I am unsure though of changing the internal gearing of an Nscale engine to change the speed. I am also unsure of any commercially available gear set in Nscale. I am aware of NWSL HO scale regear kits and remotor equippment. Hope this helps.
